This place is always such a treat. We usually go during lunch 11:30-4 ($14.25) or Sunday all day dinner ($19.99) for the best deal on the endless sushi. The appetizers and sushi are pretty good. This is the perfect place to go and try a little bit of everything to see what you like. Keep in mind though that left over sushi is charged $0.75 a piece. Also if you're allergic to shellfish, look out for "kani" listed under sushi, which is crab!
It is such a fun experience and to see all the tricks they do wile they cook in front of you. Their food is amazing I personally like their noodles.
servers are always super nice and check up on you pretty consistently and keeps us updated on our order if it's taking long ! food is great it's become my favorite restaurant to go to :) !!!
My go-to lunch or dinner when driving between Austin and San Antonio. I'm a sucker for a good deal, and their "endless sushi" is that. It's gone up a few times but it's still $15 at lunch. Is it transcendent sushi? Gosh no. Is it perfectly serviceable? Heck yes. Think of a quantity and quality diagram. The quality may be in the middle, but the quantity is epic so the value score is high. The albacore nigiri is fantastic. Pro tip: request the low sodium soy sauce because the one they put on the table is salty AF and will drown out whatever you are eating.
My wife has been wanting to go to a sushi all you can eat for quite some time and we finally had a moment that made sense. This one is the closest to where we live. I really didn't expect anything great both based on the reviews but also being an all you can eat. Typically these places, like buffets, have horrible sushi that is mostly very dry rice. This was not the case. My wife, 12 year old and I don't usually frequent places that are all you can eat because we can't eat enough to make it worth it. We managed to put away some food this evening! We had 9 or 10 rolls, all have 6 to 8 pieces. Wife ordered a bowl with fried rice and shrimp. She also had some crab/shrimp salad type thing that comes in a decent sized ball. We didn't leave anything because everything was great! We were very pleased with the ratio of rice to other ingredients. The rice was moist. This all gave everything a very nice flavor and texture. It also didn't make us overly thirsty so we didn't fill up on water. The fish all tasted fresh, nothing fishy either. My son even ate raw fish for the first time ever! And he loved it! The time to get our food was pretty good. The place was packed. We did 3 or 4 separate rounds of orders and we were in and out in around an hour (maybe 90 minutes?). The initial order took maybe 10 minutes but after that they came fast. Our waitress, Kyra, was great! She was attentive, knowledgeable and wasn't intrusive. If there was something she didn't know, she quickly got the answer and came back. And she never forgot anything, which a place like this requires a lot more back and forth, not as simple as a normal restaurant where you order, get served, pay and that's it. I can say that we will go as often as possible. And I will only order sushi. We LOVE sushi. So when I find a sushi place I really like, I don't even try anything else. That is what will happen here. Don't get me wrong, this is not award-winning sushi. But taking into consideration it is all you can eat, the price, the service we received, this is a winner. I would go back tomorrow.
Looking for a good sushi roll? Look no further. We spent the last year trying to find a place that had some good rolls, steaks and good vibes. If you need some rolls we suggest the Big B & Paradise Roll. They were exactly what we needed. Top it off with the chicken fried rice and you are set. The place has a welcoming vibe, good bar area and friendly fast service. Nice place to go with friends or family. A must if you are in the San Marcos area!
